Have you ever been in a place where you just do not want to be bothered? Or you don't want to bother anyone else? There is something that is going on with you and you may feel like others just won't understand. Or you think it is silly what you are going through so you just deal with it by yourself. You may not understand that there are those around you that will help if they knew. There may be others that are trying to help but you push them away. You may believe they have their own problems and don't need yours added to the mix. Well, these are tricks of the enemy to keep us isolated from God and each other. We need each other. We need community. We need Jesus who cares for each one of us. 

Give ALL your worries and cares to God, for HE cares about you. (I Peter 5:7 NLT)

TESTIMONY: I have been waiting for my voice to return so I could speak the words of the blog. But I was soooo focused on waiting to speaking that I overlooked that I could just write the blog. As I am dealing with my voice going and coming, coughing, throat discomfort, and pressure in my chest. I am thanking God even in the midst of the discomfort because I KNOW GOD is in control. Even though, right now my body seems to be winning. I am choosing to believe the truth that says: By HIS (Jesus') stripes I am healed. (Isaiah 53:5 KJV) I had to listen to the Words of God and my previous post: "You are not an island". I had to be reminded that I have a support system. I had to be reminded that God REALLY does care for me. When I am on the mountaintop, in the valley, and everywhere in between I am NOT alone!!! Neither are you!!!

As I was thinking about my body winning right now. There have been problems and issues I have faced where I believed they were winning. The darkness seemed to overcome the light. (John 1:5) This is a lie but shows itself as truth. There may be issues or problems that you are facing right now and you believe they are winning. BUT GOD shows each of us that HE was and is still in control of EVERYTHING that concerns us. We have to choose to believe it.

Sometimes the darkness may seem so dark that you wonder if there is a God or that HE actually hears your voice. You may be going through something that seems to linger and you wonder when you will be free of it. The problem or issue does not have to be HUGE or GIGANTIC. It could be just bothersome or small. But the beautiful part is that Jesus cares for BIG and even the small things that concern us. Jesus also cares for EVERYTHING in between.

The lyrics to this song has been a blessing to me so I had to share it with you. Use it to combat the lies, problems, and issues you may be facing today. I challenge you to listen to it more than once.

NOTE: Please forgive me for not writing anything for a week, I have been sick. I usually post something every three or four days but this week has been hard. I have been up and down and up and down again. My body would just not cooperate with me. But God... Many of you have checked on my blog but there was nothing new. I want to thank you for your time to visit and check back with me. You are appreciated!!!

I understand that this blog may represent some portion of life, light, and liberty to you in your life or in the darkness you face. It may seem like I have turned off the light but God has and never will turn off HIS Light concerning you. Sometimes we are the "life givers" and other times we are the "life receivers".  There are family and friends that I had to reach out to for support. God has reminded me that this blog and ministry is where you may reach out for support. I don't know what you are going through BUT GOD does. This ministry is HIS and not mine. I am only a steward.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help me really KNOW and UNDERSTAND that Jesus REALLY does care for me. Make I Peter 5:7 real in my life.

YOU ARE NOT AN ISLAND

Isaiah 61:1

Today I am reminded that I am NOT an island. Each one of us need other people in our lives to help us walk though this journey called LIFE. We cannot do it alone no matter how hard we try.  We need others in our lives to speak life over us. We need to be the "life giver" to others as well. 

It is my prayer that something you read or hear will encourage you to walk closer to God.

Galatians 6:2 -3 Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important too help someone, you are only fooling yourself.  You are NOT that important.   

Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves this includes our enemies. (Matthew 5:43 - 44) 

I know you have gone to uplift someone and they were the ones that uplifted you. In the midst of their storm they became a life giver to you. This is because they understood the fact that they are not an island. The flip of this is true also where the person you go to uplift seems to drain the life out of you. We have to choose to apart of the community instead of an island. Thank you for sharing your time with me in reading and listening to my blog.  

Prayer: Holy Spirit, change me into a community instead of an island. Make Galatians 6:2 -3 real in my life.

GROWING UP SPIRITUALLY

This morning, I had a "DUH" moment. I was reading my devotional, Faith Food Devotions by Kenneth E. Hagin (Great devotional by the way). He said, "After we are born again,....we have to develop the measure of faith that has been given to us." The Holy Spirit hit me with "develop".  As I thought about it many thoughts came to mind like: babies needing milk, exercise programs, eating the right foods, and their relationship to the Christian life. 

It is my prayer that something you hear brings about you experiencing your freedom in Christ.

God's Word to eat:
I Peter 2:2-3 NLT
Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, now that you have had a taste of the Lord's kindness.

When I discovered your Words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God of Heaven's armies.

PAST OR FUTURE: YOU CHOOSE?

Isaiah 61:1

There is no darkness that GOD'S Light cannot reach.Someone has and is praying and interceding for you to look to your future instead of your past. His name is Christ Jesus. He is always interceding for you. (Romans 8:34) GOD LOVES YOU TODAY no matter where you find yourself. He is chasing after you because HE desires a relationship with each one of us. I am praying that God will open your eyes to see HIS future for you. God’s future for each one of us is GREAT!!! But each one of us have to choose to believe there is something more than where we are right now. Past or future: it is a choice only you can make.

REMEMBER: God is chasing after you. HE wants you to turn to HIM instead of your past. HE wants you to walk toward your future instead of focusing on your past. Your past is NOT who you are. Your future is who you truly are. Here are just a few:

I am a child of God (Galatians 3:26)
God has a plan for my life (Jeremiah 29:11)
Jesus is praying for me (Romans 8:34)
I am loved by God (John 3:16)
I am belong to God (Romans 15:7)
I am no longer ashamed (Romans 8:1)

 Prayer: Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the future God has planned for me. Then give me the courage to walk into it with You helping me each step of the way.

QUESTION:

Will I allow the choices I have made in my past 
to affect the future God has planned for me?

What will I choose to do differently this time?

GOD HAS A PLAN

Isaiah 61:1

God is Faithful and Our Father has plans for each one of us. It does not matter whether you believe it or not HE does. His plans were made for us before the formation of the world. They have not changed and will not change. The plans apply if you HAVE or HAVE NOT accepted Jesus as your Savior.

God will do this, for HE is faithful to do what HE says, HE has invited you (Andrea) into partnership with HIS Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (I Corinthians 1:9) NLT

We will look at Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT): "For I (God, the Father) know the plans I have for you (Andrea)," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." 

It is my continuous prayer that the Holy Spirit will use my words to impart some truth to you today. Holy Spirit, open the eyes to see, open the ears to hear, and open the hearts to understand that there are plans in place for each one of Your women.  

Prayer: Holy Spirit, show me the plans you have for my life. Show me how God has been faithful to me in even in the midst of the darkness.

SATAN'S GAME: SEPARATION AND DISTRACTIONS

Today is the first day of October. It is a brand new month and a brand new way for me to explore with Women of Valour Ministries. I have been sharing on my blog by writing. Now, I am testing out audio blogging. This is my take on Satan's game of distractions. It is my prayer that you will be blessed by what it is shared. 

Prayer: Holy Spirit, show me where I am being distracted. Help me find solutions to the areas of distractions.
