The tongue can bring death or life;

 those who love to talk will reap its consequences.

This post is entitled "Self Inflicted" these are words I would hear on the news or a movie. He/She had a self inflicted gunshot wound whether it was accidental or intentional. He/She was causing self harm by cutting themselves. As I pondered this word another word came to mind self-sabotage. Have you ever really thought about the words, thoughts, and actions you are thinking, speaking,or acting upon? You may be causing the pain in your own life by your own words. Please keep reading. 

I do not know about you all but this Self Talk Series is blessing and beating me up all at the same time. The Holy Spirit is ministering to me to expose areas where my own words have hindered my forward progress in life and with God, My Father. I am understanding more and more that my own words and thoughts have held me and my future captive. You may be discovering the exact same thing. This may be confirmation for what God has already been saying to you. I am FREE in many areas now but there are still some areas where I am still held captive.

 Our words are speaking life or death to us each and every day. I understand it is a struggle and a process many times to speak life when it seems like death is surrounding us. Some times we must take it one step and one hour at a time then another step and hour which will lead us to one day then another day. Our key is to NEVER give up which means: DO NOT QUIT!!!

This concept of self inflicted and self sabotage is very hard to wrap my mind around. I would never harm myself intentionally. You may be saying the same thing. But, If I am honest with myself and you all this is EXACTLY what I was doing but not understanding it. But I had to actually think about it and look back over my life. I have told myself:

• I can't do ___________________. 
• I can't be ____________________.
• I can't have ___________________.

I have said these words more times than I can count. Each time we think, believe, and say these words we are causing ourselves harm. The" I can't" takes away our peace, joy, freedom, etc. There is another side of the self-inflicted statements. They cause us to be stuck or paralyzed in a place of questions called 'What IF'?

• What if I fail?
• What if it doesn't turn out right?
• What if I never get married?
• What if I _________________?

These two sets of thought processes are detrimental to who we really are. These words are all wrapped up in fear and intimidation. If you can identify with either or both groups then you are in the right place at the right time. My sister, you have to begin where I did by speaking life to you. I had to come into agreement with the plan My Father had and has for me. HE wants the BEST for us. But we have to choose.

• Are you sick and tired of carrying around the baggage/pain from your past childhood, divorce, rape, molestation, abortion, miscarriage, self hatred, unloved, inadequacy, torment, comparison, shame, bitterness, unforgiveness, etc.
• Are you tired of watching everyone else succeed while you are left behind?
• Are you tired of being just sick and tired?

 Then today is your day to meet the One who hung a cross for you and me. HIS Name is JESUS THE CHRIST!!! HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. (John 14:6) HE is NOT a genie in a bottle but HE will come to you and move in. HE will bring with HIM:

• Love
• Joy
• Peace
• Hope
• Freedom
• Forgiveness
• Healing and soooo much more

To Accept Jesus Christ into your heart Pray this Prayer:

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I need a Savior, Jesus Christ. I openly confess that I am a sinner and need a Savior. I am asking You to forgive me of all my sins, and self inflicted thoughts, words, and actions. I am asking You, Jesus, to come into my heart. As I am confessing with my mouth and believing in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Lord who came to this earth, died, and was resurrected on the third day. I choose today to receive you into my heart according to Romans 10: 9 - 10. I choose to trust you with the rest 0f my life. 

If you prayed this prayer and believed it about you. Welcome to the family!!! Tell someone about your decision to accept Jesus Christ.

Now let's do this exercise as a child of the King who has accepted you into HIS family.

Let's speak life (new programming) instead of death (old programming). If you prayed the prayer above the enemy, satan is telling you that nothing happened or changed but he is lying. If you read through the blogs will see this is how God allowed HIS Son to change me. You just became a born again believer. Choose to stop believing the lies about you and only believe the truth. Speak the truth. Act on the truth.

• I am a child of God (Romans 8:15-16)
• I am Loved by God. (John 3:16)
• I am God's Masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10)
• I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13)
• I can accomplish God's plan for my life (2 Timothy 1:7)

**** Here are many more FREEDOM RELEASING TRUTHS print them out and post on your mirror. Look in the mirror everyday and speak the truth to you about you. I guarantee it will work as long as you keep speaking. Your heart will change. Your thoughts will change. Your actions will change.  But you cannot do it by just speaking it. This transformation takes Jesus along with the Comforter who is the HOLY SPIRIT to change you. Just like HE did and doing me from the inside out. You will begin to see You as Christ sees you.

HOPE has a Name: 

JESUS THE CHRIST!!!

PRAYER: Holy Spirit, I thank You for helping me change my thoughts, speech, and actions toward God my Father, myself and others. Let me see myself the way God created me to be instead of the stained picture that I see. Heal the wounds, pains, and hurts that I have caused with my own words. Heal the ones that have been created by others. Lord, I want to know my purpose and walk it out. Show me how to pray. Show me how to read Your Words and let them come alive to and within me like never before. Show me that You have never left me nor forsaken me. That I am Your child today and You have a plan, purpose and destiny for me. I come into agreement with Holy Spirit for my new life in Christ. In Jesus' Name, Amen!!!

FEELING BLESSED!!!

Today, July 21, is the 1st Anniversary of Women of Valour Ministries and blog. I am in AWE of what God has and is doing in me. I am also in awe of the testimonies I have received. I am humbled that Our Mighty God and Father would use me as HIS vessel. Freedom is attainable for each one of us. I am thankful to and for God choosing to speak to each of you women and some men through this ministry. HE is definitely bringing HIMSELF Glory!!!

Hello Women of Valour,

As I thought about and began to write this blog post. These explanations came to my mind for F.E.A.R.

False means something is NOT true. If it is false then it is a lie. But we can choose to believe the lie as our truth. I did it for many many years. This may be where you find yourself today. Whatever and wherever you find yourself is a new place to speak life to you. 

Evidence is what is presented to you in the mirror through your eyes or someone else's. The evidence can present a true or false picture of who you really are or want to become. The presentation or evidence is what you choose to believe. In a courtroom, the prosecution and the defense can present the exact same evidence in two different ways. Question the evidence that is presented to you. Is it the truth or a lie?

Appearing is what you see when you look in the mirror of your life. It is the words you have spoken in your past to your future. Your current place in life is what you have spoken in your past. It is also the words you are currently speaking into your future. Are you speaking life or death right now? Think about your words, don't just speak. They are painting a picture of your future which will appear.

Real is what is true or perceived as truth or true to you. What is real to you can be the truth or an actual lie that you are believing as your truth. For example: You look in the mirror and you see a failure or a success. Whichever one you see is actually real to you. Is the picture real or just perceived by you?

When we are dealing with FEAR it seems VERY REAL to us. Fear is used as a tool by our enemy to keep us paralyzed or bound in an area(s) within us. When you are walking in fear think of the picture as you. Fear keeps you from seeing yourself accomplishing the dreams and visions God has planned for and placed inside of you. But we have to choose to have faith or doubt. This a formula that is helping me:

Faith = Belief = Trust that God Can

Doubt = Unbelief = Fearful that God Cannot

(You can actually bounce back and forth between these two.)

TESTIMONY: I am walking through a place right now where I can choose to be fearful or trust. I have chosen to trust God to show me my next step. Is it scary? Yes. Am I fearful? Yes sometimes. Do I choose to truth God as HE shows me my next step? Yes. I am leaning on My Daddy because HE has the answers to my questions. I do not. Is there peace within me? Yes. The Holy Spirit keeps reminding me that My Daddy has NOT given me a spirit of fear. (II Timothy 1:7) I am AMAZED at how HE truly is My Keeper.

Jude 24 (NLT)

Now ALL glory to God, who is able to keep you, (Andrea) from falling away 

and will bring you, (Andrea) with great joy into HIS glorious presence without a single fault. (Emphasis Added)

Women of Valour, God is Your Keeper whether you are going though a storm or on the mountaintop right now. God is able to keep you. Fear can grip you in the storm when you choose to believe the storm will never end. Fear can grip you on the mountaintop when you choose to believe you will fall off at any moment. Whatever way you speak and believe about your current state is the truth to you. 

We have to do something different because if we do not we will continue to get the same result we have always gotten. We have to start to look at the positive sides of the "what ifs" that are keeping us bound. Instead of thinking, speaking, and believing that things are going to go wrong try thinking, speaking, and believing that things are going to go better than you planned.

What if ____________________________ (think, speak, and believe something positive)

Allow God to change your thoughts and words. You will become a new person and come into agreement with the plan God has for you instead of coming against the plan. (Romans 12:2) How does that sound to you? I know it sounds good to me. But it requires work on our parts to come into agreement and walk in our Freedom in Christ!!!

Stop allowing fear to stop you 

from showing the world 

who you actually are!!!

SELF TALK SERIES: COMPARISON

COMPARISON is a word that we as women know VERY well. We have been doing it since preschool. Some of us even before that. From babies, we are raised to believe that we can do anything. We can roll over. We can crawl. We can walk. We can talk. These are ALL positives and growth milestones.

As we grow up, we are taught that some things are great about us and some things not so much. You may have grown up thinking EVERY THING is wrong with you. As a woman, this mentality may not have changed for you. I grew up believing the exact same lies for soooo many many years. I am here to share that there is HOPE for you too. I had to make choice that I wanted something different. It took listening to positive people, reading books about who I actually was and am, prayer when I felt at my lowest points, and Jesus was and still is the ANSWER to every problem we face.

What do we compare?

• hair textures 
• body types
• eye color
• shoe style 
• dwelling
• clothing
• cell phones
• children
• our speech 
• the way we walk, etc

Why do you compare yourself to other women? I want you to ponder that question.

There are soooo many ways in which we compare ourselves today. We can look at TV, social media, magazines, etc. But at the end of the day: Do you like who you are? Are you satisfied with who God created you to be? Do you believe you are God's masterpiece? Do you believe you are actually loved by God? Well, here is some positive and true self talk.

I AM GOD'S MASTERPIECE!!!

(Ephesians 2:10)

I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE!!!

(Psalm 139:13)

I AM LOVED BY GOD!!!

(Jeremiah 31:3)

It is my prayer that you choose to believe these words about you and walk them out in your life. You can choose who you want to be. We can dress the outside up and present a picture to the world. But your inside is messed up mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I know because I played the comparison game for many many years. It is time to break the vicious cycle. It is a choice only you can make. This kind of self talk should be spoke every day that God wakes us up. We should not just speak these words but believe them about ourselves. We are the ONLY ones who can choose.

I LOVE YOU, LADIES!!!

SELF TALK SERIES: YOUR WORDS

Hello Women of Valour,

I am tired of the enemy taking and distorting things in our lives that God has given us through the death, burial and resurrection POWER of Jesus Christ!!! It is time out for us just rolling over and saying all we can do is pray about it.

PRAYER IS EVERYTHING WE CAN DO!!!

Another crucial part is speaking to yourself. How do you view yourself? How do you view others around you? How do you view the world at large? What do you tell yourself about you? The words that you speak to you are more important than anyone else's words. 

I can say:

• You are beautiful.
• You are God's masterpiece.
• You are a child of God.
• You are a wonderful singer, writer, dancer, etc.
• You are an amazing mother or wife.

But if you are telling you lies like:

• I am ugly.
• I am worthless.
• I am a spawn of hell.
• I cannot sing, write, or dance, etc.
• I am the worst mother or wife ever.

Your words have over powered my words to you. Since you are saying these negative words to yourself then this is your truth. It is a lie and everybody else KNOWS it but you do not. Your words are absolute truth to you. So the words are seeds that we speak to ourselves and those words are being watered and they are growing bigger and bigger. The plants are producing dead things in our lives but we continue to take care of the plants and trees of negativity. How you may ask? By consistently watering and fertilizing them with negative self talk.

Your words have the POWER to keep you stuck or propel you forward. Your words tell who you REALLY and truly believe you are at your core. This is called Self Talk. It is a very important lesson to learn.

The Word of God actually speaks to this. The Holy Spirit hit me with a thought "Power of death and life." When I looked up the verse I also read above it and verse 21 is a part of is as well. Your life has more life or death depending on your words. Your words can kill or they can bring life. It is up to you. As I stated, my positive words have no power if you do not believe them about yourself. God's Words has no real power if you do not believe it about you.

Proverbs 18: 20 - 21 (NKJV)
20 A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.

21 Death and life are in the POWER of the tongue,
and those who love it will eats its fruit.

Message Version
20 Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach:
good talk is as gratifying as as a good harvest.
21 Words kill, words give life;
they're either poison or fruit - you choose.

Our words will produce death or life. When you say I am ugly it is true and when you say I am God's Masterpiece it is also true. It just depends on what you believe. We have to change our words to change our world. I have heard that somewhere I believe. It is the TRUTH!!!

Again, I ask what does your self talk sound like: Life or death? Start listening on purpose to the words that are coming out of your mouth. They have a tremendous amount of POWER.

MY SELF-TALK:
I am a child of God. I am a Woman of Valour. I am beautiful. I am loved and loving. I am a writer. I am an encourager. I am the optimistic one. I love helping other people. I have come to realize over the past couple of weeks that these are gifts from God." I am not saying look at me. I am saying look at God. HE has been orchestrating my life from the beginning. God has and is orchestrating yours as well.

CHALLENGE: I challenge you, Woman of Valour, to look in the mirror on purpose and say: 

I am God's Masterpiece according to Ephesians 2:10. ----(repeat 10 times daily)
(Please let me know it you are taking the challenge and how it is working out for you. I want to celebrate each one of you more!!!)

The enemy wants us to avoid the mirror of God's Word which will only show us TRUTH. But he loves for us to look in the physical mirror and see what we see or what he shows us. Start speaking LIFE to you, Woman of Valour!!! I pray over each blog post before I publish it. I am praying over these posts specifically.

PRAYER: Daddy, open Your daughters eyes to see themselves as you see them and created them. Let your Word come alive to and within them like never before. Show them that they are Your Masterpiece!!! Open their ears to hear Your voice whisper to them. Bring people across their paths to tell that You created each one of them as Your Masterpiece. Holy Spirit, heal the broken, painful, and dark places inside Your women. I touch and agree with you Holy Spirit for the testimony that they will share concerning the new eyesight you have given them. In Jesus' Name, Amen!!!
